Toy box full, pet still bored? Most soft toys get one afternoon of attention before they go quiet under the couch. This plush duck has a squeaker inside, which is what keeps a dog coming back for another round, and a fleece body soft enough that plenty of pets carry it to bed afterwards.
How it works: Hand it over and let your pet discover the squeak. Dogs tend to mouth, toss and squeak it; cats bat it around and wrestle with the bigger sizes. Use it for a game of fetch indoors, tuck it in the crate at settle time, or keep it as the comfort toy that comes along in the car.
Good for: puppies and light chewers, kittens and cats, indoor play on wet days, and pets who like a soft toy to sleep against.
Not for: power chewers — a determined dog will have the squeaker out of a fleece toy in minutes, so supervise play and take it away once the seams go.
What you get: one plush duck in your chosen size. The manufacturer's chart gives Small as 25 × 22 cm, Medium as 32 × 28 cm and Large as 45 × 38 cm (length × width). The duck is fleece, with no batteries needed. The manufacturer gives no washing instructions, so spot clean rather than machine wash until you have tested it.
